Mareeba Chamber of Commerce – monthly luncheons
This years successful tenderer for the catering and venue of the regular chamber luncheons is The Mareeba Leagues Club. Held from February to November, these events occur on the first Friday of the month.

Business Awards 2008
The annual Mareeba Chamber of Commerce Business Awards date is the Saturday 25th of October and our venue is the Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve. The theme "Go Wild for Business" is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever. Jenny Jattke has been amazing in her support of this event and has come on board as our major sponsor, thanks Jenny. The evening will be jam packed with WILD experiences, hors d'oeuvres with the Hippos, a night Lion feed and dinner next to the Bears and Cheetahs. Our famous DVD is also back featuring our fabulous nominees and sponsors. This year we have a special treat for our sponsors so if your business wants to be a part of these events jump on board NOW. Speed Networking
In partnership with the Mareeba Business Women’s Club, the Chamber hosted its second Speed Networking event. A variety of businesses were represented and participants enjoyed the opportunity to meet many new contacts in a short period of time
Media Workshop
Presented by The 20/20 Group and held in conjunction with The Chamber, a group of 20 learnt tips and tricks on how to deal with and how to get most out of the media. Gaye Scott and Stacey Kibble ably instructed the audience on "Getting your business into the news.”
Economic Development Forum – August 14th at the Mareeba International Club
This event has been many months in the planning and went off with a bang on Thursday 14th of August. Our total bookings were 78 with our speakers stealing the show. For those who missed it we have a list of the top two (2) business topics raised coming soon
